Hmm I’m Brazilian and I use both Orkut and Facebook, but I might clear up some stuff from that video.

First of all, Facebook DID NOT launch before Orkut. They are both from early 2004.

And “But in Brazil, they were sort of used to the latency”..

Thats utter B.S. Orkut’s spread in Brazil was purely viral, it makes no sense, since both networks were released at the same time, to choose a slower one.
