UK Banks on Social Media: Barclays first on Twitter and Facebook and Santander on Youtube

We have made a new report analysing Conventional Banking in UK. The most important banks in UK were selected on the basis of their turnover volume to study their Social Media performance (Facebook, Twitter and Youtube mainly). In this study, we do not take into account the profiles that use Twitter for customer care purposes. The analysed banks are: HSBC, Lloyds Bank, Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Chartered, Tesco Bank, Nationwide, The Co-operative, Halifax, Natwest and Santander.

Top Conventional Banking in UK on Social Media

Facebook is the most important social network for the UK Conventional Banking marketers, thanks to their 1.7 million of unique users. The leading bank is Barclays, which gathers the 31% of the total unique audience.

Conventional Banks in UK are more actives on Twitter than on other social networks. Barclays is the most popular bank with the 37% of the total unique users.

As for Youtube, Santander is the leader with the 24% of the total unique audience. This visual network is the one that generates the best engagement result among all the others.
