A new association is born. Alianzo is one of the 19 founding members of Esle, the association of free software Companies of the Basque Country. This new organisation has been created by 19 companies whose business is based on free software and open source, both developing software and providing services based on this type of software.
The association wants to:
- Collaborate with the Basque administration to make true a resolution from the Basque Parliament favoring the use of free software.
- Promote the use of free software
- Promote the development of new technologies based on free software

- Higher quality and security because of its collaborative origin

- Faster development, as anyone can access its source code
