The Apparel Industry Has Almost 132 Million Unique Users on Facebook

Apparel Brands have always been characterised for a high investment in their offline communication campaigns, but how are they performing at an online level? We have carried out an study analysing the World’s Top 11 Apparel Brands on Social Media, considering their turnover volume. The brands that we select for this study are: Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Next, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Uniqlo, American Eagle Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret and Zara.

We have reached a clear conclusion through our study: Facebook is the most important social network in this kind of industry. Considering the total of the brands studied, this social community gathers almost 132 million unique users, making it clear its importance or business volume.

Regarding Twitter, it is the social network in which brands are more active, tweeting an average of 21 tweets per day. Besides, the total audience of the 140 character community is high thanks to the almost 17 millions unique users it has.

The social network generating the highest engagement per month is Youtube. Apart from that, it is important to highlight that Victoria’s Secret gathers 73% of the total unique audience in the industry (among the 11 brands analysed).
