We have compared the French social media profiles of the Top 13 most successful banks of the financial industry regarding their assets’ volume. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram are the main social networks considered on this report. The companies analysed in this study are: Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, Group BPCE, Crédit Mutuel, Natixis, BRED Banque Populaire, Credit du Nord, HSBC, La Banque Postale, Credit Cooperatif, Caisse D’Epargne and LCL.

The banking industry has more than one million Facebook users in France (considering the analysed banks). On this network, BNP Paribas is the leading bank in terms of audience, gathering together the 29% of the sector’s fans.

But the most popular bank regarding the number of followers is Société Générale. This banking entity occupies the most outstanding position on Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. Will they also achieve the best engagement results through their content?
